The Warriors are among a handful of teams pursuing free-agent forward Willie Reed, according to NBA reporter David Aldridge.
Reed, 27, could be a solid option if Golden State can’t re-sign center JaVale McGee. In 14.5 minutes per game for the Heat last season, Reed averaged 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds. He boasts a career shooting percentage of 56.9.
Reed, who went undrafted out of Saint Louis in 2011, ping-ponged between four Development League teams and even played in the Dominican Republic before latching on with the Nets for the 2015-16 season. At 6-foot-11, 245 pounds, he is an explosive athlete adept at running the floor.
