It’s a special night. The two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors are set to kick off the 2018-19 NBA season against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and before the game they’ll unveil their championship banner, and receive their championship rings.
Of course, the players from the 2018 title team that are currently on other teams will not be in attendance to receive their hardware. That’s the norm. But someone else won’t be there to pick up his ring: Patrick McCaw.
Warriors restricted free agent Patrick McCaw will not attend tonight’s season-opener to receive his championship ring, a league source tells Yahoo Sports.
