As you might expect, Andre Iguodala’s remark left a burn.
Appearing on CNBC’s “Power Lunch” on Monday to publicize his new book, “The Sixth Man” Iguodala fielded some questions about the NBA in general.
Asked about his injured teammates Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant, Iguodala opined they would return to the Warriors.
“You’re crushing the Knicks fans out here with this kind of talk,” host Kelly Evans told Iguodala, laughing.
“Nobody’s going to the Knicks,” Iguodala said. “Sorry.”
As in, “Not sorry.”
It was the kind of devastating verbal wedgie that, had Twitter not been already invented, it would’ve had to be built on the spot.
