Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant will be reevaluated later today, but a report from ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne says that the two-time NBA Finals MVP is “not close” to making his return.
Durant has not returned to the court for practice or any basketball activities. That could change after his reevaluation, but even if it does, it suggests he’s a ways away from making it back into games.
A 10-time All-Star, Durant hasn’t played since spraining his calf in a non-contact injury on Wednesday, May 8. The injury occurred near the end of the third quarter of Game 5 against the Houston Rockets.
