Harrison Barnes has until Oct. 30 to either sign a contract extension with the Warriors or become a restricted free agent the following summer, and according to a report Sunday, the sides have already exchanged at least one set of numbers.
Barnes has rejected a $64 million, four-year deal, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, citing league sources. The initial offer, according to the report, was made -- and countered -- by Barnes' old agent. Barnes confirmed to this newspaper on Saturday that he has changed agents to Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management after previously having been with Jeffrey Wechsler.
