Warriors star Stephen Curry was frustrated and nearly kicked his lucrative partnership with Under Armour to the curb in 2018 after a dispute with the shoe company, the New York Times reported.
It took a huge push by Under Armour executives in a meeting with Curry in the summer of 2018 to convince the two-time MVP not to terminate his deal.

According to the Times, both sides had serious issues with the partnership that pays Curry roughly $20 million per year. Kevin Plank, UA’s founder and chief executive, was displeased because Curry wasn’t wearing Under Armour’s clothing to games.
