Golden State Warriors fans who hate the "Hamptons Five" nickname might have to get used to it, because one member of the team appears to have locked up the trademark.
Draymond Green applied last year to trademark "Hampton 5," TMZ reported Thursday. A search of the United States Patent and Trademark Office site surfaces an application submitted by Money 23 Green Enterprises, LLC. The Warriors star goes by Money23Green on social media.
The trademark — filed for "Hampton 5," no "s" — encompasses branding on athletic apparel, "dietary supplements in the nature of weight loss powders," sports bags and gear, and a number of sports-related entertainment ventures, like coaching, seminars, radio programs and sports facilities.
