The Celtics may need to send more to the Cavs than star point guard Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and a 2018 first-round draft pick via Brooklyn to receive Cleveland's star point guard Kyrie Irving in this blockbuster trade.
Questions arose Friday with uncertainty of Thomas' hip issues. On Saturday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported the Cavs plan to seek further compensation in the trade after Thomas' physical.
