Another game without three of the Golden State Warriors' starters became another stellar performance by Kevin Durant to lead the Warriors to a 112-97 win.
The first half was a see-saw between stretches of sloppy play and great runs. The Warriors looked intent on keeping this a competitive game early on with a whole heap of turnovers. It’s like we were saying, “Sure, we’re down a couple of all-stars. But let’s spot you guys a couple of points with some easy transition buckets anyways.”
However, despite the Mavericks holding the lead for the majority of the first half, the Warriors never let the leash extend too far before yanking their opponent back into striking distance.
