Canadians may be known for their kindness, but that certainly wasn’t on display Monday night when Kevin Durant re-injured his right leg.
Durant returned for Game 5 of the NBA Finals after he missed more than a month of the playoffs with a right calf strain.
When he went down in the second quarter of Game 5, the fans inside Toronto’s Scotiabank Center cheered.
Durant tried to make a move, froze in pain and dropped the ball on the right wing on the Warriors’ offensive side of the court. Toronto’s Serge Ibaka, who was guarding Durant at the time, grabbed the ball and raced for a layup attempt, only to be fouled by Warriors guard Shaun Livingston.
