It’s a warm, beautiful day in Oakland. Probably too warm and beautiful to be stuck inside.
But 40 or so boisterous basketball fans — most of them clad in Warriors blue and gold — have gathered at Oakland’s Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill along Lake Merritt to watch ESPN host Rachel Nichols talk hoops with former players Stephen Jackson, Paul Pierce and Tracy McGrady.
They’re here for a taping of “The Jump,” a TV chat fest passionately devoted to basketball, and the focus has turned to Cleveland’s porous defense against Kevin Durant in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
