Q&A: Warriors’ Zaza Pachulia discusses hectic offseason

Related Topics: Zaza Pachulia, sports season

Zaza Pachulia is a master at maximizing his offseason. In recent years, the 6-foot-11 center has used the lull in the league calendar to take summer classes at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and Harvard Business School.

But in the wake of winning his first career NBA title, Pachulia had little time for studies. His past three months have been a blur of Republic of Georgia national-team duties, contract negotiations and preparations for the birth of his second daughter (Nutsa, born last Wednesday).

On Monday afternoon, after a lengthy workout at the Warriors’ practice facility in downtown Oakland, Pachulia sat down with The Chronicle to discuss everything from bringing the Larry O’Brien trophy to his native Tbilisi, Georgia, to re-signing with Golden State, to the club’s prospects of winning another title.
