On the auspicious occasion of Pi Day, I discovered the inauspicious news that Klay Thompson had broken his thumb and would be re-evaluated at the end of the month. This caps a recent spate of injuries that has left the entire Warriors’ roster – starters and bench – gutted. If there was an upside to this news, however, it was that it came amidst the most comfortable stretch of the Dubs’ schedule, with games scheduled against the Los Angeles Lakers (11th in the West), Sacramento (13th in the West), Phoenix (14th in the West, embroiled in a tank-off for the worst record in basketball), San Antonio (the outlier in this list), and Atlanta (last place in the East).
