When it rains, it pours sometimes.
The Golden State Warriors started the season with several injuries to key players including big men Kevon Looney and Willie Cauley-Stein. The team’s situation got a whole lot worse after all-star guard Stephen Curry broke his hand in a play during the third quarter against Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes. Curry ended up landing on his two hands and then Baynes fell on his left one. He left the game after that.
In the first half, Draymond Green got hurt as well but later returned to the game. The injuries continue to mount for the Warriors, which lost Jacob Evans and Looney just as Cauley-Stein and Alec Burks returned to the lineup.
