The Warriors fell agonizingly short in their 114-110 loss to the Toronto Raptors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals at Oracle Arena on Thursday.
After winning three NBA championships in the previous four years, they were denied their fifth on their home court. Fans roared at Roaracle, but it wasn’t enough to make up for an injured Kevin Durant and the loss of Klay Thompson to a torn ACL in the third quarter after he scored 30 points. Andrew Iguodala scored 22 points, Stephen Curry scored 21 and DeMarcus Cousins brought 12 points and five rebounds off the bench, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the momentum of the Raptors, who honed in on their prey in the last minutes of the game.
