Like his teammate and “Splash Brother” Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson is known by sports pundits as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.
From his humble 2011 rookie year where he averaged 12.5 points per game to winning the last three out of five the NBA championpships and averaging 21.5 points this season, he’s also a five-time NBA All-Star. Thompson played for the Washington State Cougars before being selected 11th overall in the draft by the Warriors. He was also voted to the NBA All-Rookie First Team that year.
He was born in Los Angeles, the son of former NBA player Mychal Thompson, and grew up both in Oregon and California.
