Desperate times call for desperate measures.
The Warriors' 2015 NBA championship was 40 years in the making. It fulfilled the promise Joe Lacob and Peter Guber made when they purchased the team in 2010.
Almost exactly one decade later, there is no basketball to speak of. The NBA season is indefinitely paused due to the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and it remains to be seen if there will be a champion crowned in 2020.
That means its quite possible there won't be any flashy championship rings distributed anytime soon. Well, except for the one Guber got in 2015.
