OAKLAND — As a youth in St. Louis, Warriors forward Pat McCaw would often find himself under the watchful eye of his father Jeffrey as the elder McCaw trained local high school stars throughout the area.
The experience taught the Warriors guard to see the game two or three plays ahead on the court, but also causes McCaw to overthink to his own detriment.
On Monday evening, McCaw’s inhibitions were nonexistent.
Before leaving the game with a sprained wrist, McCaw had his best game of the calendar year, scoring nine points, grabbing one rebound and dishing out one assist, hitting his first three-point shot in more than a month as the Warriors beat the Phoenix Suns 129-83.
