We could be heading towards some resolution in the case of Patrick McCaw. The Golden State Warriors extended the qualifying offer to the third-year wing before the season began, and that deal (one-year, $1.7 million) expires tonight. If the deal expires, the Warriors can lower their offer to the minimum (one-year, $1.5 million), but McCaw would remain a restricted free agent.
But apparently both sides are considering more. According to Logan Murdock of The Mercury News, the Warriors have a two-year, $4 million contract on the table for McCaw. The versatile 22-year old is considering accepting the offer.
