A garden that Bay Area power couple Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s foundation planted at an Oakland elementary school was vandalized over the weekend.
The garden at Global Family Elementary School in the Fruitvale neighborhood in East Oakland was initially planted by the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, the charity organization founded by the Currys that focuses on creating a healthy environment for children through nutrition, literacy and physical activity.
According to a Tuesday morning news release from Oakland Unified School District, vandals left “everything in the area in disarray,” which included ripped apart planters, broken wooden benches and a damaged ladder.
