Fans clad in Golden State Warriors gear were wrapped around the block Thursday night at Oakland’s Grand Lake Theater for a chance to catch the Bay Area debut of “Stephen Curry: Underrated.”
Those in line were waiting for the second of two screenings of Curry’s underdog-story documentary, which wouldn’t let out until after midnight. Such is the overwhelming popularity of Stephen Curry in these parts. The Warriors left for San Francisco more than three years ago, but at the film’s Bay Area premiere, it was clear the beating heart of the Warriors fan base still resides in the East Bay city where they played for 47 seasons.
