OAKLAND – Kevin Durant needed some help against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.
The Warriors were without Klay Thompson, whom Steve Kerr had promised would get a much-needed rest night. And earlier that morning, Stephen Curry re-sprained his right ankle, leaving Golden State without two of their top scorers.
Durant did his part, scoring 40 points on 14-for-18 shooting, including making six of his seven three-point attempts. But Durant scored more than twice as much as any of his teammates.
