It doesn’t seem that long ago. After teasing their fans with their first playoff appearance in years in the season of We Believe, the Warriors rapidly plummeted back into obscurity and irrelevance. Front office blunder after front office blunder erased the goodwill of patient and loyal Warriors fans. Stephen Jackson’s “It ain’t me” moment, Monta Ellis’s moped accident, and Don Nelson’s retirement one season before actually leaving the bench didn’t help either. Warriors fans were fed up. Adam Lauridsen, the intellectual voice of Warriors fans, announced on this blog that he was canceling his season tickets, an action that was an expression of his resignation that symbolized the frustrations of Warriors fans in general.
