Jonas Jerebko was a bit of a surprising signing for the Golden State Warriors. He entered the offseason under contract with the Utah Jazz, and there was no reason to think the team didn’t intend to keep him. But as Utah’s money started to run dry, they decided to waive Jerebko. No team wanted to pay the $4.2 million necessary to claim him off waivers, and by the time news broke that he’d been waived, he’d already committed to the Warriors.
