Tempe, AZ. – NBA executives called and texted at a frenetic pace that usually mirror the speed the Warriors play.
Leading into Thursday’s trade deadline, 16 of the league’s 20 deals happened on the last day. The Eastern Conference contenders in the Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers all bolstered their roster in hopes of taking down the Warriors. And whether Kevin Durant likes it or not, the Knicks made a move last week to clear cap space for him if he is interested in July.
“It’s about as wild of a day as I can ever remember, trade-deadline wise,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.
