The Golden State Warriors are waiving veteran guard Chris Paul, according to Bleacher Report and TNT's Chris Haynes. He will become an unrestricted free agent.
The news comes as little surprise after Paul had been included in trade rumors throughout the 2023-24 campaign.
NBA insider Marc Stein also reported on May 23 that the Warriors were evaluating their situation with Paul after failing to offload him at the trade deadline.
Paul's $30 million deal for 2024-25 was supposed to be fully guaranteed if he was still on Golden State's roster on June 28, according to Spotrac.
