HOUSTON – The moment could have called for watered eyes, second-guessing and conceding defeat.
The Warriors squandered a second consecutive playoff game to the Houston Rockets. After running a prolific modern NBA offense based on ball movement, pace and 3-point shots, the Warriors morphed into an offensively stagnant team familiar in the 80’s and 90’s. And for the first time in two years, the Warriors faced playoff series elimination.
Yet, the Warriors sounded emboldened following their loss to the Rockets in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday.
