NBA playoffs: Warriors’ Steve Kerr jokingly taking credit for assistants receiving head-coaching interest

NEW ORLEANS — The evidence seemed obvious to Warriors coach Steve Kerr. So he simply pointed it out.

First, Alvin Gentry took the head-coaching position with the New Orleans Pelicans shortly after serving as a Warriors assistant in the 2014-15 championship season. Then, Jarron Collins interviewed with the Atlanta Hawks for their vacant head-coaching spot this past Sunday after working as a Warriors assistant in the past four years. Then, Mike Brown interviewed with the New York Knicks this week after working as a Warriors assistant since the 2016-17 season.
