According to Nielsen, the Cleveland Cavaliers' victory over the Warriors in Oakland earned an 18.9 overnight rating in metered markets. That's the highest mark for any basketball game, pro or college, since 1998, when the Bulls beat the Jazz in Game 6 of the NBA Finals (22.9).
It was also the highest overnight number for a Game 7 of the NBA Finals since 1994 (Knicks-Rockets, 20.2), and the highest-ever for any NBA game televised by ABC.
