Don’t be fooled by Mike Brown’s big smile and happy-go-lucky demeanor. The Golden State Warriors’ acting head coach is probably salivating over his chance to wreak brutal vengeance against the Cleveland Cavaliers — the team that fired him twice.
So says Jeff Van Gundy. The former coach and current ABC/ESPN analyst told reporters during a Tuesday conference call that the Brown-vs.-Cavs matchup is one of the most intriguing off-court story lines of the NBA Finals.
“I think it’s going to be fascinating to see how often Mike Brown praises Cleveland management and ownership for the great job they did (this season),” Van Gundy said.
