The 2020 NBA draft will represent a rare occurrence in the basketball world. For the first time since 2012 the two NorCal franchises, the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings, are both projected to pick in the lottery.
The 2012 draft saw the Kings add center Thomas Robinson with their fifth overall pick. The Warriors, on the other hand, used the seventh pick to select wingman Harrison Barnes (who now resides in Sacramento).
While Robinson was largely considered to be a bust, Barnes was a key cog in the Warriors 2015 championship roster.
