At halftime of the Warriors' Game on March 19, 2012, Golden State retired Chris Mullin's jersey.
When owner Joe Lacob took the microphone to introduce Mullin, Warriors fans at Oracle Arena offered a chorus of boos.
"I had a great night. I really did," Mullin said. "I think it's poetic justice that it turned around. That's what sports is all about. You never know what's gonna develop. If you're consistent and you're disciplined and you work hard, good things will happen. So trying to forecast the future is never an intelligent thing to do."
A week before Mullin's ceremony, the Warriors traded fan-favorite Monta Ellis to the Milwaukee Bucks for Andrew Bogut, who was recovering from a broken ankle at the time.
