DENVER — The extended absence of centers Zaza Pachulia and David West has come with a silver lining: Once a concern, the Warriors’ frontcourt depth is becoming a strength.
“It can only help,” head coach Steve Kerr said. “We’re much deeper now in terms of, not only the number of bodies, but the confidence in playing that ‘5’ spot.”
With Pachulia and West sidelined the past seven and 13 games, respectively, Golden State has leaned on a committee of JaVale McGee, James Michael McAdoo, Kevon Looney and even Damian Jones at center.
