Jon Wilner's story on Warriors coach Steve Kerr -- "A Dad's Legacy" -- was named one of the 10 best features of 2015 in judging Tuesday at the Associated Press Sports Editors convention in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Wilner's story (http://bayareane.ws/1POXgN1) explored the influences on Kerr's coaching style. The greatest of them was his father, Malcom, who was assassinated in 1984. Kerr had never spoken publicly of the tragedy.Wilner and nine others, including writers the New York Times.
