The NBA punished Golden State Warriors investor Mark Stevens with a one-year ban from NBA games and Warriors-related activities and a $500,000 fine Thursday. The penalty from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver was handed down roughly 16 hours after an incident in Game 3 of the NBA Finals in which Stevens, from his courtside seat at Oracle Arena, shoved and directed vulgarities at Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry.
Here’s the statement Stevens released :
““I take full responsibility for my actions last night at the NBA Finals and am embarrassed by what transpired. What I did was wrong and there is no excuse for it.
