This Golden State Warriors team feels like a far cry from the squad that reached five consecutive NBA Finals. A 48 point loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night marks the franchise’s lowest point of the decade.
The Mavericks didn’t just beat the Warriors, they embarrassed them. Sophomore sensation and potential MVP candidate, Luka Doncic, erupted for 35 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in 25 minutes. This was the fasted 30+ point triple-double in league history.
Doncic also became only the second player in NBA history to rack up more points, assists and rebounds than an opposing team in a single quarter.
