When Warriors rookie Kevon Looney left on Monday to begin his assignment with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, the plan was for him to play in a game within 10 days.

That plan is on schedule. Barring a setback, Looney is expected to make his professional debut Tuesday against the Idaho Stampede in Boise, a source told CSN Bay Area reporter Fallon Smith.

Looney, who underwent hip surgery in August, two months after he was drafted and one month after playing the NBA Summer League, completed his rehabilitation under the guidance of the Golden State medical and training staff.
