Although he wasn’t the same player as he was on the “7 seconds or less” Phoenix Suns, Leandro Barbosa was a pivotal member of the world champion Warriors, as his leadership helped guide Golden State to its first world title in 40 years.
The 12 year veteran only averaged 7.1 ppg, but Coach Steve Kerr was able to rely on Barbosa for timely buckets and experience off of the bench.
The Positives
When Barbosa was signed to the Warriors last fall, few thought much of it as the “Brazilian Blur” had lost a step or two in previous seasons.
