Lakers guard Kobe Bryant will try to play against the Warriors on Thursday night despite a sore right Achilles tendon, in what would be his final NBA game in Oakland.
Bryant made that declaration more than two hours before tipoff, in the latest of his “farewell” news conferences throughout the league. He showed up in the interview room wearing his purple Lakers uniform and warm-up jersey, a clear sign of his intent to face Stephen Curry and Co.
Oracle Arena holds many special memories for Bryant: He’s scored at least 30 points in 13 games there in his career, including 51 on Dec.
