You could have convinced me that Friday’s Warriors-Jazz game in Salt Lake City was game 92 of the season — a playoff contest — not the second of 82 regular-season games.
The game was that good, the energy was that strong.
And after giving up 81 points in the first half — bringing the Utah crowd to a fever pitch — the Warriors beat the Jazz 124-123 on Jonas Jerebko’s last-second tip-in.
There’s half a year left in the NBA schedule, but for the Warriors — and, begrudgingly, for the Jazz, too — Friday’s game will likely stand as the game of the campaign.
