Kurtenbach: The impossibility of Kevin Durant was brought into focus in the Warriors’ Game 4 win

NEW ORLEANS — Before Game 4 of the Warriors’ second-round series with the Pelicans, Draymond Green challenged Kevin Durant to be more aggressive following Golden State’s embarrassing Game 3 loss.

It took just shy of eighty seconds Sunday to see that Durant had fully taken to Green’s message.

On the Warriors’ first offensive play of Game 4, Durant pushed off from the right corner, took a quick pitch from Green near the free-throw line, used the assist man’s pick, rose and fired from 21 feet. It, of course, rattled in.

The next possession, the same thing: Durant pushed off from the right corner, took the ball behind the 3-point line, hooked around a pick from Green in the middle of the court, found a pocket between three Pelicans defenders, and released a shot from the left side of the free-throw line.
