OAKLAND — The Warriors’ ended their preseason ended on Wednesday night with a 147-140 win over the Pelicans.

It was a wildly impressive final tuneup before their 2019 campaign gets underway — in earnest — on Friday.

I know what you’re thinking — yes, the Warriors’ preseason technically ended in October. Yes, the Warriors have played 45 regular-season games already, at least according to the NBA. But the truth of the matter is that this team has treated the more than half season it’s already played as a continuation of the exhibition schedule.

Yes, they wanted to do well and win, but there wasn’t much riding on the line to this point.
