The Warriors won’t be losing their heart when they move to San Francisco.
Golden State and forward Draymond Green — the emotional leader of the team — agreed to a four-year contract worth roughly $100 million Saturday. Green was set to be a free agent at the end of the upcoming 2019-2020 season — the Warriors’ first in their new arena in The City — but this new deal is set to keep Green in blue and gold until the summer of 2024.
The contract extension came as a surprise to many around the NBA — Harrison Barnes just signed a new deal worth $21 million per year.
