Stephen Curry’s record-breaking night at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday brought out big names from around the NBA and the celebrity world. But there was one notable person missing from the pomp and circumstance: Klay Thompson.
The Splash Brother, who is currently designated for assignment with Golden State’s G League affiliate the Santa Cruz Warriors, was not in the arena when Curry became the NBA’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made. The team did what it could to have him there in spirit, including hanging Thompson’s jersey next to Reggie Miller’s, Ray Allen’s and, of course, Curry’s.
