The Warriors are preparing to play the entire season without injured guard Klay Thompson.
Thompson, who tore his left ACL in June, had hoped to return in time for a potential playoff run. The organization previously said Thompson would not play until after the All-Star break in February but, in a recent conversation with NBC Sports Bay Area, coach Steve Kerr said he isn’t expecting the all-star guard back at all this season.
“It’s unlikely that he’s going to play this year,” Kerr told NBC Sports Bay Area. “So we have to understand that.”
Thompson underwent surgery on July 2 after he suffered the injury against the Raptors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
