OAKLAND — With 50.5 seconds left in the second quarter, Klay Thompson dribbled toward the basket, then backed up behind the 3-point line. He looked down at his feet to make sure he was beyond the arc and then swished his second-straight 3.

Pretty much everyone who wasn’t in a New Orleans Pelicans uniform went crazy.

“That was probably the loudest I’ve heard the Oracle all year,” Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr said after the team’s 123-101 win over the Pelicans in Game 1 of their Western Conference Semifinals series on Saturday.
