Count Klay Thompson among those who believe Magic Johnson will reinvigorate the Los Angeles Lakers.
“It won’t be long before … they’re good again,” Klay told Marcus Thompson II and Tim Kawakami on Bay Area News Group’s Warriors Plus/Minus podcast. (You can subscribe to that here.)
Of course, Klay Thompson has a personal connection to Magic, who was put in charge of the Lakers this week. His dad, Mychal Thompson, played with Magic on the Lakers from 1986-91, winning two NBA titles.
“He’s obviously one of the brightest minds to ever play the game,” Klay said of Magic.
