With two days to spare, Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson completed the NBA’s concussion protocol and was cleared to play in Thursday’s Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
After Thompson practiced both Monday and Tuesday, he was examined by the Warriors’ medical staff and passed all of the neurological tests. The Warriors’ medical staff huddled with on Tuesday with Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher, the director of the NBA’s concussion protocol, and Thompson was cleared to return to game action.
“It’s looking like I’ll be ready for Thursday,” Thompson said after Tuesday’s practice and minutes before getting his final tests.
