SAN FRANCISCO — The Warriors are lacking length at the center position. Injuries to Kevon Looney (hamstring) and Willie Cauley-Stein (ankle) robbed the pair of the Warriors’ entire camp.
But the Warriors may get one of those centers back for Opening Night; Looney participated in his first full scrimmage of the year on Sunday. Coach Steve Kerr said he could be on track to play on Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers — and maybe even start.
“I talked to him and he said he felt good,” Kerr said. “He’ll continue to get more work in as the week goes on and hopefully he’ll be ready to go on Thursday.
