CLEVELAND — In Kevin Durant, the Warriors have a player who can almost single-handedly wipe away a team’s imperfections. It doesn’t matter if two of the best shooters in the world can’t shoot straight when Durant is nailing off-kilter jumpers over multiple defenders.
In Golden State’s 110-102 win over the Cavaliers on Wednesday night in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Durant was at his did-he-just-do-that best, delivering a 43-point, 13-rebound, seven-assist gem to lift his team within one victory of its third championship in four years.
Before Cleveland tries to avoid a series sweep Friday, it must mull over yet another wasted opportunity.
